Plan to Attend this Very Special MIPA Event. 4-hr. group session with a Certified PS Instructor
Limited Enrollment for those already proficient
with Jody Lepinot’s back by popular demand. Many of those who attended her seminar in November expressed a desire to have another one. Learn new Photoshop techniques in a relaxed atmosphere from an instructor who is clear, knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Jody will be demonstrating Color Correction and Portrait Retouching in this information-packed seminar. She will cover many useful – and sometimes magic - techniques in Photoshop CS3 and Camera RAW for adjusting color, as well as converting to black and white. Starting with the removal of global color casts, Jody will discuss the importance of setting accurate shadow and highlight points, and then will move into several effective methods of neutralizing overall unwanted color casts both in Camera RAW and in Photoshop. She will then show you how to use adjustment layers with masking and blending techniques for local color corrections. Get ready to leave RGB and go into Lab color with some Curves moves that will liven up the color in images with limited color palettes, as well as help with noise reduction. Photoshop has several amazing tools for retouching portraits. Jody will take you through the techniques she’s found to be most successful for removing blemishes and wrinkles. She will also discuss techniques for adjusting skin tones, skin softening and even how to create an elegant "porcelain" look. There are many issues in portrait retouching in addition to the skin itself. Often there are objects that distract from the portrait or reflections in glasses that obscure the subject’s eyes. Jody will demonstrate several handy procedures that you might want to add to your bag of Photoshop tricks! If you don’t have Photoshop CS3, don’t worry. Many of these techniques are usable in earlier version of Photoshop as well. The Park Ridge Public Library opens at 9:00 am. We will provide coffee and cookies. If you would like a more substantial breakfast, the Pickwick Restaurant at 1 S. Prospect is located across the street. | ||||||||
