Secretary John Schalk brought the Executive Board Meeting to order at on
December 11, 2007 at Joe Gallina’s house at 6:50 P.M.
IN ATTENDANCE:
John Schalk, Francis Byrne, Joe Gallina and Herb Schoene by speakerphone.
LAST MEETING’S MINUTES:
A motion was made and seconded to approve the minutes. The motion
carried.
TREASURERS REPORT:
A motion was made to approve the treasurer’s report, seconded and
carried.
A motion was made to pay the bills as presented.
Ending balance is $2608.00..of this money,
Bills paid: $ 1270.00
Deposits: $ 1055.00
Revenue from Photoshop seminar, Christmas party & pens $1055.00
Expenses:

MEMBERSHIP REPORT:
Anthony Merry, received a member application for student. Voted on
and accepted.
Greg Britton, Darkroom manager at OCC, received an application for Student.
Voted on and accepted.
At the Christmas party Jodi Lepinot said she wants to join as a member, looking
forward to accepting her application.
A motion was made to make Susan Johnson an honorary member, seconded and passed.
COMMUNICATIONS
REPORT:
It was suggested that we move MIPA.info to it's own server. See "New
Business" below.
OLD BUSINESS REPORT:
Christmas party was well attended, had a few old members we haven’t seen
in a long time, and many new members, good to see some fresh faces.
Directory for 2008, the idea was tossed about on have only an electronic PDF
version, member will then have the option to print their own directory or to
continue to have a printed book version.

With the passing of our esteemed President, Don Johnson, we will not appoint
an acting president and we’ll wait for the next elections to fill this position.
Joe Gallina says we need to move the MIPA web site server to it’s own server.
For $3.99 a month we get 5 GB of storage on the server, 250 GB of monthly data
transfer (traffic to the website), up to 500 email addresses (ie:
John.Schalk@mipa.info or
Joe.Gallina@mipa.info,
etc.). We would have to commit to a minimum of 2 months. If we found that the
site gets a lot of traffic, the next package costs $9.95 a month & offers 100
GB of storage on the server, 1,000 GB of monthly data transfer. Motion was made
and seconded, passed.
